Job Summary
Conduct direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assist patients with personal hygiene activities, bowel and bladder functions, and activity while maintaining dignity. Record patient intake and output, collect and transport specimens, and change soiled linens. Communicate pertinent findings to the nurse and set priorities for multiple patients. Requires current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification, CMA, or EMT certification with Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. Full-time 32-40 weekly hours with comprehensive benefits including tuition reimbursement and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification
- Successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education
- Current Certified Medical Assistant
- Verified EMT Certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Post offer, pre-employment drug testing
