Job Summary
ED Technician provides support in the Emergency Department under supervision, assisting nurses and providers with patient care tasks including signing in patients, obtaining vital signs and monitoring, performing EKGs, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, processing medical paperwork, drawing blood and collecting specimens, transporting patients, and performing CPR; requires a high school diploma or GED, valid NYS driver's license, and prefers CPR; strong communication and multitasking abilities essential; full-time night shift (7P-7A).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Previous patient care experience strongly preferred
- Current CPR preferred
- Valid NYS Driver's license is required
