ED Tech/HUC

ED Tech/HUC role supporting the Emergency Department: assists physicians and registered nurses with patient care including phlebotomy, transporting patients, monitoring with cardiac and vital signs equipment, wound care, Foley catheter insertion, and obtaining lab specimens. May initiate IV starts per state regulations. Documents procedures and relays observations to the registered nurse; processes daily patient charges in the EHR; collaborates with physicians to support patient care communication; coordinates communications via phone, paging, electronic, and EMS systems; maintains a safe, clean work environment and monitors equipment. Requires knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan, ability to assess patient data, and provide age-appropriate care as described in department policies. Licensure/Certification options include Nurse Aide in good standing, EMT (any level), or Medical Assistant program with BLS; Education: High School Diploma; Experience: ~1 year; Proficiency with EHRs and strong interpersonal skills are required. Physical demands include lifting and moving patients and operating clinical equipment; role supports Advocate Health facilities in Oshkosh Fond du Lac campuses.
