Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including hygiene, mobility, and monitoring; perform phlebotomy, POC testing, EKGs, and assist in procedures; manage equipment with unit leadership; assist with laceration repair and patient prep for exams; maintain lab and room readiness; document in EMR and ensure patient safety and throughput; collaborate with RN and team to deliver age-appropriate care and responsive treatment while adhering to department goals and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- GED or HiSET (Required)
- EMT, ED/Urgent care experience or military medical experience (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Certified Medical Assistant - Other
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician - Other
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
