ED RN - Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Job Summary
ED RN in Emergency Department performing rapid and comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing emergency care plans, delivering timely and effective interventions, evaluating patient responses and adjusting care, and facilitating communication and coordination. Requires Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), Iowa RN licensure (or compact); BLS required; ACLS required if telemetry monitoring exists; Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire. Schedule: 36 hrs/week, evening shift (12p-12a), every third weekend and every third holiday. MercyOne Dubuque, Dubuque, IA; Magnet-designated hospital with a broad range of acute and community services.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- Current or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa
- IL RN license within one year
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required if unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three months of hire
- Ability to perform high language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking
- Basic computer skills
