Job Summary
ED Patient Access Representative handles patient registration for outpatient and/or Emergency Department, including demographics, insurance verification, primary/refering provider details, insurance eligibility, and real-time cash collections; cross-trained across locations; promotes MyChart and patient self-service tools; interacts with clinical/diagnostic departments to ensure accurate data entry, clean claims, and smooth patient journey; experience with Epic or health information systems and strong customer service skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
- General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required
