Job Summary
Support patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility to support recovery and plans of care. Assess quality of life regarding nutrition, hydration, and elimination to distribute resources and anticipate needs. Admit, transfer, and discharge patients while assisting with clinical procedures such as monitoring blood glucose, recording vital signs, obtaining EKGs, and attending to elimination needs. Maintain unit inventories of supplies and medical equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment, and verify fall-risk patients have appropriate arm bands, socks, and signage. Document clinical procedures, patient interactions, and medication use to maintain detailed patient history, and respond promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff. Requires Nurse Aide Certification and BLS; two shifts per week (7a-7p or 11a-11p).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR
- Nurse Aide Certification
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
