Job Summary
As an ED Access Representative, you will coordinate functions associated with visits to the Emergency Department, ensuring all actions are patient-friendly and efficient. Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting and verifying demographic and financial information, initiating medical records, coordinating chart assembly for admissions and discharges, and providing excellent customer service. You will also manage a patient tracking system, serve as a preceptor for training other staff, handle incoming calls, and support departmental activities like monitoring supply inventory.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 1 year related work experience in an administrative office or customer service field required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to word process documents and enter data into a database preferred
- Demonstrated skills related to achievement of customer satisfaction preferred
- Medical terminology experience preferred
