Job Summary
ECSE Paraprofessional assists in implementing classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction, under supervision of a principal and certified teacher. Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, maintaining an orderly classroom, assisting with student supervision and records, supporting students with disabilities, and aiding in crisis intervention and behavior management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate
- Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 semester hours of college coursework); or have obtained, at minimum, an associate’s degree; or met a rigorous standard of quality of knowledge or ability to assist in reading, writing, and math or related readiness skills
