Job Summary
Direct traffic in and out of the Deerfield, FL transfer station and manage equipment movement to ensure efficient workflow. Supervise and train drivers while communicating with Dispatch to reflect customer needs. Operate and maintain heavy equipment, enforce safety policies, and conduct regular inspections for OSHA and environmental compliance. Perform tarping duties and sustain physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs. in varying weather conditions. Requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years of waste management experience, and ability to work outdoors with exposure to noise and dust. OSHA certification and CDL preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in waste management, logistics, or operations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to noise, dust, and waste materials
- Able to sustain physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to operate machinery and perform site inspection
- Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen
- Eligible to work in the United States (E-Verify)
