Job Summary
EcoShield Waste Service Equipment Technician responsible for preventive maintenance of fleet equipment, including routine oil changes, lubrication, brake adjustments, safety inspections, and field repairs; ensures OSHA and environmental compliance; maintains records using fleet maintenance software or vehicle condition reports; requires 2+ years of diesel technician experience and knowledge of heavy-duty hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel engines; must work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate machinery for site inspections; preferred OSHA certification, CDL, heavy equipment operation certification, and bilingual English/Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working as a diesel technician
- Understanding of heavy-duty hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel engine technologies
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to weather conditions, noise, dust, and waste materials
- Able to sustain physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to operate machinery and perform site inspections
