Job Summary
Economic Support Specialist manages cases for Income Maintenance and Economic Support programs (FS, TANF, GA, FSET, WHEAP, CARES, etc.), processes client applications and registrations, determines initial and continued eligibility, performs case management and front-end verification, conducts interviews and home visits, maintains electronic/paper files, collaborates with community and governmental resources, and requires state certifications and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of two years’ experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to pass background checks and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willing to work evenings/weekends
- Elder/Youth License
- Ability to meet physical requirements
