Job Summary
Economic Research Assistant role within FT's fDi Intelligence team. Conduct in-depth desk-based research on economic, business and investment factors; identify and collect relevant data; maintain accuracy in the fDi Benchmark database; support data and information sources across the team; provide data support to the Sales team; contribute to the quality and reliability of fDi Benchmark as a location assessment tool. Key responsibilities include inputting, updating, and maintaining data in the fDi Benchmark database; ensuring data accuracy and currency; researching public and specialist sources to identify determinants of investment attractiveness; improving information sources; performing ad-hoc research and data tasks; assisting with production tasks; and supporting the team. Required skills/experience include a degree in economics, statistics, data, business, geography or related analytical field; strong research/analytical skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ability to gather and organize information from diverse sources; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently; highly organized and collaborative with a positive attitude. Desirable languages and experience in online/database research, analytical/report-writing are noted. The role supports a hybrid working model (two to three days onsite) with flexibility in working patterns across FT offices.
Required Qualifications
- A degree with an economics, statistics, data, business, geography or related analytical element.
