Job Summary

Conduct background research and write support for long-term policy projects and papers. Draft blog posts and assist staff in preparing responses to Hill and media requests. Monitor major congressional activity by analyzing budget documents and take notes at Congressional hearings and external events. Manage event planning, program management, and administrative tasks while working directly with policy analysts. This internship runs from September 14 to November 20, 2026, with on-site work Tuesday through Thursday at BPC's Washington, DC office.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be an enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate school or be a recent graduate
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • An interest and experience in fiscal and economic policy topics, such as tax policy, retirement savings, and federal budget policy
  • Strong research and data analysis skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • valid work permit or visa verifying eligibility to work in the United States
