Job Summary
World Relief seeks an Economic Empowerment Specialist to help refugees and immigrants prepare for, obtain, and retain meaningful employment in the U.S. workforce, providing individualized job readiness support such as resume development, interview preparation, workplace navigation, employer connections, and coaching toward long-term economic stability; role focuses on mid-to-high level position development while assisting with entry-level placements when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in workforce development, human services, social services, education, or a related field
- Experience with Microsoft Suite software (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel)
- Experience working cross-culturally and with non-native English speakers
- Valid driver’s license, access to reliable vehicle and clean driving record
- Experience with case management, client documentation, or data entry in CRM or database systems (e.g., Dynamics, Salesforce) preferred
- At least one year of experience in case management, workforce development, or employment-related support
- Experience providing employment services, job placement support, or workforce development in nonprofit or workforce development setting
- Experience working with immigrants, refugees, or culturally and linguistically diverse populations
- Familiarity with employer engagement, job matching, or supporting clients through the hiring process
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client priorities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
