Economic Development and Main Street Manager

Job Summary
Lead the implementation of economic development strategies and manage commercial corridor revitalization for the Hill CDC, coordinating committees and partnerships, identifying and securing capital sources (grants, loans, tax credits, philanthropic support, private investment), and driving community-first outcomes. Oversee real estate, infrastructure, and business development initiatives; staff and convene committees; coordinate promotions and campaigns to boost visibility and engagement; provide technical assistance and mentorship to entrepreneurs; build relationships with financial institutions and partners; ensure alignment with the Greater Hill District Master Plan and Centre Avenue redevelopment efforts; and support data-driven reporting to stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), 5+ years in related fields, strong project management, capital-raising capabilities, and a commitment to equity and community-driven planning. Some evenings and weekends are required; drivers license and personal vehicle strongly desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate related-area, Entrepreneurship, Urban Planning, Economic Development, Business Administration, Project Management or related field
- 5 years of experience in economic development, community development, Main Street management, or commercial real estate
- Proven ability to project manage complex initiatives with multiple partners (public/private) and deadlines
- Demonstrated success identifying and securing capital resources (public, private, and philanthropic)
- Skilled facilitator with experience staffing or managing committees and stakeholder groups
- Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to engage diverse audiences
- Strong initiative, project management and administrative skills
- Commitment to equity, cultural preservation, and community-driven planning
- The ability to advocate on behalf of organization and community
- Driver’s License and personal vehicle strongly desired

- Evening and weekend availability for community meetings and events
