Job Summary
Develop and implement comprehensive economic development strategies to attract investment, create jobs, and stimulate regional growth. Cultivate relationships with local, regional, and national stakeholders including businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions to identify collaboration opportunities. Provide guidance on site selection, financing, workforce development, and regulatory compliance while conducting research to inform economic development initiatives. Coordinate permitting processes, manage project budgets and resource allocation, and represent the organization at meetings to build strategic alliances. Support local promotion strategies to attract visitors and enhance the visitor experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, specializing in public administration, economics, finance, accounting, management, or related discipline
- five [5] years of directly related experience
- nine [9] years of directly related experience in lieu of education
- Ability to identify, research, plan, organize and implement initiatives and programs to increase new business opportunities and current business portfolio
- Prior experience with program management of full new business life cycle including business pre-launch analysis and planning, startup launch activities and post-launch execution activities
