Job Summary
Assess and challenge financial crime risks associated with new products, services, and account propositions before introduction, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and risk frameworks. Provide day-to-day advisory support on workflow and process changes to product, operational, and compliance teams while embedding regulatory developments into onboarding and customer management journeys. Manage stakeholder relationships to influence decision-making and support new account approvals, ensuring economic crime risk is effectively mitigated without compromising customer outcomes. Based in London or Northampton, this Assistant Vice President role requires expertise in UK financial crime legislation, cash management, and lending products to safeguard the bank's operational stability.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience assessing and providing challenge on new product approvals, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance requirements are embedded from the outset
- Experience supporting Business Banking products and services, with an understanding of the associated financial crime and regulatory risks
- Knowledge of cash management, client money and lending products, with the ability to evaluate risks and provide effective product advisory support
- Extensive first-line Economic Crime experience, with an expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial crime risks across business operations and products
- Proven experience within the Financial Services sector, with an ample understanding of Business Banking products, customers, and associated risk frameworks
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK financial crime legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices relating to Economic Crime and risk management
- Recognised financial crime qualification (ICA AML Diploma, ACAMS, or Equivalent)
