Job Summary
Sort and prepare incoming products for online sale by taking representative photographs, using SEO keywords in auction titles, and valuing donations for quality inspection. Stock, pick, package, and ship items while selecting appropriate box sizes to prevent breakage and control costs. Address customer inquiries, maintain production quotas, and perform general warehouse housekeeping duties. Flex between tasks as directed while adhering to safety guidelines and marketplace policies.
Required Qualifications
- Previous employment or other activities that demonstrate the use of basic computer skills and/or mobile device use for research of product values and/or taking detailed product photos
- Willingness to follow directions to learn new skills and apply them in daily work
- Experience in working with, or otherwise relating to, people in diverse group situations in a respectful and team-oriented manner
- Has worked in a fast-paced/production-oriented environment with a focus on process, safety, and quality
- Is adept at reaching and maintaining quantity/quality quotas
- Works well with others and makes valued contributions to the outputs of others to assist the team or project in achieving the required outputs
- Adheres to procedures and protocol, including maintaining confidentiality in passwords, logging on and off procedures, and adhering to Goodwill's values
- Attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks, including safety awareness
- Identifies and comprehends issues, problems, and opportunities; compares data from different sources to conclude the uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences
- Adds and subtracts two-digit numbers and multiplies and divides with 10s and 100s. Can perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Possesses basic computer and/or mobile device skills
- Articulates thoughts and expresses ideas effectively using oral, written, visual, and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to comprehend customers' needs. Delivers information in person, in writing, and in the digital world
- Takes initiative in stimulating and enhancing personal knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Remains open and willing to receive and apply feedback to continually improve and advance one's skills
- Recognizes the risks in activities, applies the right measures to control and manage those risks, and ensures all safety protocols are followed
