Job Summary
Research potential merchandise using published guidelines and expert consultation to determine type, value, vintage status, and salability. Take detailed photographs of items and write persuasive sales copy describing appearance, condition, size, and material. Post items for sale on eBay, Shopgoodwill.com, and other markets while updating online manifest systems. Sort materials on racks or shelves by size, type, style, and color code. Retrieve merchandise, package items, affix shipping labels, and stage goods for shipment. Keep accurate records of posted and sold items, sales prices, inventory, and origin/destination using Microsoft Word and Excel. Respond to customer phone and email inquiries and support onsite pickups. Operate warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts to move product. Coordinate with retail store ecommerce representatives as needed. Maintain a quick work pace to adhere to posting quotas and follow Goodwill uniform standards.
Required Qualifications
- at least six months of relevant work experience in a retail, warehouse, Ecommerce or similar customer-service focused environment
- proficient in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) and Internet savvy
- detail-oriented self starter who is able to learn the requirements of Ecommerce quickly
- Ability to complete all assigned tasks quickly, and in an efficient manner, adhering to departmental quotas
- responsible and reliable and extremely organized
- posting and list products online in the English language
- conduct reliable research using the internet
- Familiarity with basic photographic principles so as to operate a mid-level digital camera, including the ability to upload photos to a computer
- work in a warehouse environment with exposure to various temperature extremes (hot in summer, cold in winter), moderate dust and noise
- lift and carry up to thirty pounds in weight and to push and/or pull merchandise up to 200 pounds using warehouse equipment
- access to reliable transportation in order to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous work experience in an Ecommerce, warehouse or retail environment
