Job Summary
Process shipments using automated conveyors and radio frequency scanners to verify identifying information against bills of lading and orders. Inspect packages for proper labeling and packaging, then physically palletize cases and route items to departments based on pick lights. Perform audits to verify SKU quantities, input data via RF scanners, and replace cartons as needed. Maintain a clean work area, coordinate tote removal, and notify supervisors of irregularities while providing customer service to delivery drivers.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and to write correspondence
- Basic math skills are required, such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and the ability to effectively communicate with Supervisor
- Basic PC skills are required
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
