Ecological Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage project teams to navigate complex environmental regulatory landscapes for commercial, institutional, and energy clients. Supervise staff ecologists and lead projects from conceptual design through regulatory review and construction. Work directly with clients, contractors, and agencies on wetland assessments, endangered species surveys, stream restoration, and ecological risk assessments. Demonstrate technical expertise in State and Federal regulations including the Clean Water Act while mentoring staff and prioritizing multiple project needs. Assist in client development across energy, mining, and public sector markets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Biology, or related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: wetland and stream delineation, threatened and endangered species consultation, and/or environmental permitting and reporting
  • Demonstrated understanding of State and Federal regulations from agencies such as U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
  • Knowledge of Section 401, 402, and 404 Clean Water Act Regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide technical expertise and mentoring to staff in the ecological practice
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple project needs
  • Demonstrated client development and management experience to assist in expanding the delivery of our services to the energy, solid waste, mining, public sector, and real estate markets
