Job Summary

Program Manager for the Ecological Landscape Alliance at the New England Botanic Garden (NEBG) leads the planning, coordination, and execution of ELA’s educational and membership programs, including a year‐round calendar of over 100 classes and activities for green industry professionals (tours, webinars, workshops). Responsibilities include budgeting and oversight (collaborating on budgets, evaluating ROI, pursuing grants and sponsorships, leveraging technology), educational program management (partnering with ELA Education Committee, scheduling/instructor contracts/registrations, managing digital communications and publications, evaluating programs, tracking metrics), and membership program management (recruitment, retention, stewardship, communications, and data management). The role is full-time and largely remote with occasional regional travel and outdoor program oversight. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in education or related fields, 5+ years in adult education programming, 1+ year in a supervisory role, experience in marketing and evaluating classes/resources for adults, strong writing and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, museum education, environmental studies, landscape ecology, or related field
  • At least five years’ relevant work experience in adult education programming or a bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Experience planning, developing, teaching, marketing, and evaluating classes, resources, or experiences for an adult audience
  • Ability to speak and write effectively for co-workers, community partners, and program attendees
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Experience with association management and digital platforms
  • Commitment to the mission of NEBG and the Ecological Landscape Alliance
