Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and educate regarding ECMO treatment protocols. Communicate with the ECMO physician and healthcare team to interpret, adjust, and complete patient-specific care plans. Requires a Bachelor's degree, designated ECMO training, and active licensure as a Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, or Perfusion Technician, alongside BLS and ACLS certification. Minimum of two years of critical care experience is necessary. This role operates on a 12-hour shift, three days per week, in a Magnet-designated hospital serving as a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation
  • Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
  • RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care
  • CCP – Certified Perfusion License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
