Job Summary
ECMO Coordinator - PRN serves as the lead ECMO Specialist (ES), ensuring ECMO practices align with hospital goals, providing training and mentorship to ES staff, and developing policies in line with ELSO guidelines. Responsibilities include policy development, maintaining accurate records in the ELSO registry, implementing protocols, networking with other ECMO centers, and supporting the adoption of innovative technology. Requires nursing or respiratory therapy education and an active RN or RT license with at least two years of RN/RT experience; strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills; and proficiency with business computer tools.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a professional nursing or respiratory program
- Current RN or RT license within state of practice
- Two years of RN or RT experience
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent data management and policy development skills
