Job Summary
Lead psychosocial and recovery services for Turning Point members, advocating for treatment access, housing, and medical care while supporting individual service plans. Provide on-the-spot counseling, coach clients on social skills and job readiness, and conduct home visits or field meetings at various sites. Develop financial management plans for Representative Payee clients and assist with Medi-Cal eligibility. Maintain client records, complete documentation, and drive for medication outreach and community meetings. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with rotational after-hours on-call coverage. Requires a California driver's license and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or accredited GED
- Four (4) years of varied experience as a provider of direct mental health services
- Relevant higher education substituted for up to two (2) years of experience
- California driver's license
- Current vehicle insurance/registration
- Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from a four (4) year university or college with a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field
- Four (4) years varied experience as a provider of direct mental health services
- Meeting other Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist qualifications
