Echovascular Sonographer II - (PRN)

Job Summary
Perform echo vascular studies including Echocardiograms, Cardia Doppler studies, Color flow mapping, TEE studies, Carotid Duplex studies, Arterial extremity testing, Venous extremity studies, and RAA's. Diligently prepare appropriate paperwork for all studies and ensure patient care aligns with medical orders and nursing standards while documenting in clinical records. Assist with ongoing Quality Assurance and maintain rapport with physicians and hospital staff across multiple facilities. Requires ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS certification, BLS, and two years of vascular scanning experience. Schedule is 12 weekly hours on a PRN basis.
Required Qualifications
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RCDS) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- High School graduate
- Graduation from an accredited Vascular Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Ultrasonography program
- Equivalent work experience
- Active membership in a related professional organization such as SDMS or SVU
- Minimum of two years of Vascular specific scanning experience
- Approval by the Supervisor to be considered for the Vascular Sonographer II position
- All Consistent or Mentor ratings on the most recent annual evaluation
- No written reprimands within a calendar year
- Acceptable references from prior Supervisors/Managers
- Must be registered in 1 modality upon hire
- Must be registered in both modalities within 3 months of start date
Desired Qualifications
- Additional relevant courses and/or degrees
- Graduate of an accredited formal program in Echo/Vascular Ultrasound
- on-the-job training in Echo/Vascular Ultrasound
- Vascular Sonographers must have a minimum of two years of Vascular specific scanning experience and approval by the Supervisor to be considered for the Vascular Sonographer II position
