Echometer Technician - Wichita Falls, TX

Job Summary
Conduct oil and water production rate tests using Echometer equipment to determine static and producing fluid levels in individual wells. Analyze surface and downhole sucker rod pumping equipment to assess loads and efficiency, while performing relief pumping duties. Determine and report fluid levels in shut-in wells annually for H-15 reporting purposes. Execute roustabout tasks such as plumbing changes at wellheads, moving heavy equipment, and driving a company vehicle. Maintain a database on a laptop and troubleshoot rotating machinery with minimal supervision. Work outdoors in all seasons within 50 miles of Wichita Falls, often in teams of two to four men.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of Echometer well testing
- 3 years of operating Echometer equipment and software
- 3 year of shooting fluid levels
- 3 years of oilfield experience
- 3 years of pumper experience
- The ability to learn and understand how rotating machinery works

- Work is almost 100% out of doors during all seasons of the year
- Very hot in summer and very cold in winter
- Work is very physically demanding
- Requires the ability to complete tasks, on time, without much direct supervision
- Work requires some math and computer skills
- the ability to maintain and use a database on a laptop computer
- Work is primarily within 50 miles of Wichita Falls
- may require overnight trips out of town
- occasionally
- Requires driving a Company owned vehicle
- maintaining same to Company standards
- Responsible for Relief Pumping
Desired Qualifications
- Some knowledge and understanding of electrical equipment
