Job Summary
Perform and document adult echocardiograms including 2-D, Doppler, stress, and transesophageal studies. Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment, explain procedures, and assist physicians in interpreting data and determining image retention. Measure, edit, and perform preliminary interpretation reports, entering data and reviewing findings with approved physicians. Maintain clinical supplies, ensure equipment functionality through preventive maintenance, and uphold ICAEL accreditation quality assurance standards. Work full-time, 30 hours per week, in 10-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with CCI or within one year of eligibility
- At least 3 years experience performing echocardiograms
- BCLS certification
- Ability to obtain intravenous access within 90 days of employment
- Close vision
- Distance vision
- Color vision
- Peripheral vision
- Depth perception
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work in dim lit areas for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with intravenous access preferred, or to be obtained within 90 days of employment
- ACLS certification
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification from ARDMS
- Experience with intravenous access preferred
