Job Summary
Prioritize and schedule cardiac and vascular exams, coordinating with medical staff, physicians, and patients. Perform ultrasound exams consistent with departmental protocols while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes. Transport patients, educate families on procedures, and document results with appropriate charge codes. Clean and maintain equipment, stock supplies, and coordinate repairs. Mentor caregivers and students on basic equipment use and procedural technique. Support team and quality improvement processes while participating in educational opportunities to develop clinical competence. Work shifts include part-time hours (30 weekly), 10-hour days, and on-call rotations at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Must demonstrate technical competence for performance protocols specific to the department

- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies

- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
