Job Summary
Perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis. Prioritize and schedule exams, coordinate with medical staff and patients, and transport individuals while educating them on procedures. Execute sonography protocols consistently, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the exam. Document results, apply charge codes, and maintain equipment and supplies. Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique while supporting quality improvement initiatives. Schedule: part-time, 30 hours, 10-hour days with on-call rotations. Location: Good Samaritan Hospital, Lafayette, CO.
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Must demonstrate technical competence for performance protocols specific to the department

- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Desired Qualifications
