Job Summary

Prioritize and schedule cardiac and vascular exams, coordinate with medical staff and patients, and transport individuals to the procedure room. Perform ultrasound exams consistent with departmental protocols while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes. Throughout the exam, identify patient needs and communicate care plans with physicians and families. After the exam, return patients to their rooms, verify stability, and document results with appropriate charge codes. Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique. Clean and maintain equipment, stock supplies, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications

  • ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers

  • Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
