Job Summary
Echocardiography Technical Staff performing high-quality 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow echocardiography per ASE guidelines, including echo and stress echo exams, obtaining images and hemodynamic data for physician interpretation, recognizing urgent findings, and maintaining equipment and documentation. Responsibilities also include patient intake related to cardiac symptoms, supporting scheduling and daily echo-lab operations, participating in quality improvement initiatives and IAC accreditation, complying with HIPAA/OSHA regulations, and providing clear explanations to patients while ensuring comfort. Per Diem schedule anchored in Princeton, NJ clinical cardiology settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited diagnostic cardiac sonography program or equivalent training
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Proficiency in echocardiography equipment and PACS/EMR systems
- 15 hours CME relevant to Cardiac imaging over 3 years (5 hours must be echocardiology-relevant)
