Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic echocardiograms for admitting, attending, or consulting physicians on a schedule dictated by workload. Coordinate, implement, and maintain echocardiography scanning policies and procedures while reporting equipment issues to the Director and contacting service providers for repairs. Assist in the annual budget process and establish working relationships with nursing staff and physicians. Requires ARDMS RDCS, RVT, or RCS certification plus CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by one or more of the following, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARDMS, Echocardiography (RDCS), Vascular technologist (RVT), Cardiovascular Credentialing International CCI, Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Graduate of an accredited cardiography/vascular school
- CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited echocardiography school/vascular school
- 2 years prior experience in echocardiography examinations
- Recent graduate of an accredited Echocardiography school/vascular school
- Experience in Vascular sonography
- Registered in Vascular technology (RVT)
