Job Summary
Set up ultrasound equipment, attach electrodes to patient chests, and document cardiac data and measurements while preparing patients for sonographic imaging. Interview patients, review medical records to adapt techniques, and perform echocardiography on treadmill patients to assess heart functions. Collaborate with cardiologists by evaluating findings and reporting them, while maintaining equipment, restocking supplies, and entering patient information into systems. Maintain job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional publications.
Required Qualifications
- Currently certified, or eligible to be certified, with a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
