Job Summary
Set up ultrasound equipment, attach electrodes, and prepare patients for cardiac imaging in an outpatient setting. Perform echocardiography to assess heart muscle, chambers, valves, and vessels, then collaborate with cardiologists by evaluating findings and reporting results. Maintain equipment, inventory supplies, review patient schedules, and enter data into systems while keeping patient information confidential. Participate in educational opportunities and stay current with professional publications to maintain job knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Currently certified, or eligible to be certified, with a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
