Echocardiographic Technician, Full Time, Day Shift

Job Summary
Set up ultrasound equipment, attach electrodes to patients, and document cardiac data while performing echocardiography to assess heart functions and diagnose conditions. Prepare patients by positioning them, applying gel, and verifying wave signals before collaborating with cardiologists to evaluate findings and report results. Interview patients, review medical records to adapt techniques, maintain equipment inventories, and enter patient information into systems. Maintain job knowledge through educational opportunities and uphold patient confidentiality. Requires RDCS certification, Oregon Board Sonographer license, and CPR/BLS certification. Full-time day shift position at the Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center.
Required Qualifications
- Currently certified, or eligible to be certified, with a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Oregon Board Sonographer license (OR-SNG)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
- Echocardiography (ECG) certification: Preferred
