Job Summary
Conduct advanced echocardiography for structural heart disease and interventional imaging while pursuing an independent, externally funded research program. Secure competitive provincial, national, and international grant funding and lead multicentre collaborative initiatives in cardiovascular imaging, genomics, and artificial intelligence. Mentor trainees and junior faculty within the Division of Cardiology at the University of British Columbia, contributing substantially to undergraduate, postgraduate, and fellowship education. Establish and sustain a research program that advances precision health and cardiovascular imaging in British Columbia.
Required Qualifications
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Full
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory
- minimum of one year of dedicated advanced fellowship training in structural heart and interventional echocardiographic imaging
- at least one additional year of advanced research training
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, or equivalent qualifications
- eligibility for licensure in the Province of British Columbia
- Master's or PhD program or possess equivalent advanced academic training demonstrating a commitment to a career as an independent clinician-scientist
- demonstrated record of scholarly productivity, including peer-reviewed publications
- evidence of success in obtaining research funding or strong potential to secure competitive peer-reviewed funding as an independent investigator

- Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada
