Echocardiographer Registered PRN

Job Summary
Perform echocardiograms including 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, pulse wave Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, transesophageal echocardiogram, and stress echo to established standards with high technical proficiency under supervision. Ensure proper patient identification, safety, and privacy; maintain organized logs and electronic records for billing; prepare echocardiographic worksheets for physician review; support department QA with accurate data collection; work independently and collaboratively with peers, physicians, and vendors; prioritize STAT and routine orders and manage supplies within budget. Requires completion of an associate-degree echo program or accredited echo training program and current RDCS/ARDMS or RCS certification; preferred ACLS and EPIQ/TEE experience. The role involves direct patient care in a hospital setting with ongoing mandatory education.
Required Qualifications
- RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required
- High School Diploma and/or GED required
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with equipment including Philips ie33 and EPIQ, TEE probes (to include the sterilization process), and Epic preferred
- Typing and computer skills preferred
- Work Experience: 1 year hospital experience preferred
