Job Summary
Perform echocardiograms as part of a highly technical, fast-paced team to provide excellent patient care. Communicate clearly and openly; build collaborative relationships; be accountable for performance; pursue improvements in patient experience; take initiative for professional growth; be engaged in building a winning team. This role requires ARDMS in adult and/or pediatric echo, an associate degree echo program or equivalent training, BLS current, with pediatric competency as a potential ARDMS substitute. Methodist Richardson Medical Center serves the Dallas area and is a Magnet-designated, Level III NICU and Trauma Center, offering a broad acute-care environment. The role is PRN (per diem) with on-site duties at the Richardson, TX location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred
- ARDMS (AE and/or PR) required
- A written statement from a pediatric cardiologist stating competency in pediatric echocardiography may substitute for ARDMS
- Current Basic Life Support required; Advanced Cardio Life Support preferred
