Echocardiogram Technologist PRN

Job Summary
Perform routine diagnostic ultrasound studies and echocardiograms, including M-mode, 2D Doppler, and color flow studies, while reporting preliminary findings to the Cardiologist. Calculate heart wall measurements, chamber size, and blood flow parameters, then record images for PACS transfer after verifying quality. Maintain equipment cleanliness, inventory supplies, and complete daily computer procedures with accurate charge capture. Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to callbacks within 30 minutes and arriving at the hospital within 45 minutes. Review charts, maintain data logs, and provide clinical information pertinent to exams. Requires six months of formal training, RDCS registry eligibility, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of formal training that includes hands on clinical applications
- Graduate of School of Radiological Technology and/or an approved School for Diagnostic Ultrasound with a minimal of 6 months formal training in Echo
- Must have or be eligible for Registry in RDCS
- Proficient in all areas of echocardiograms
- ARDMS or CCI preferred
- Registry required within 2 years
- BLS required
- Must respond to initial call back within 30 minutes
- Must arrive at hospital within 45 minutes
