Job Summary
Perform echocardiograms using high-frequency sound waves to produce diagnostic images, positioning patients and equipment appropriately. Manage patient expectations by providing exam explanations, while maintaining and calibrating equipment for diagnostic accuracy. Record and interpret measurements against clinical norms, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and documentation accuracy. Travel to centers within the market as needed with car allowance provided. This PRN role supports geriatric patient care within Sage Health's neighborhood health centers, upholding established clinical protocols and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound sonographers
- ARDMS registered in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS) or CCI Echocardiography (RCS)
- Experience working with an electronic health record
- 3-5 years' experience working in a hospital or other medical facility
- Must be willing to travel to centers within the market
- Certification Basic Life Support
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Must be organized and attentive to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Resourcefulness in problem solving
- Able to take and follow through with assigned tasks and accountability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher
- Experienced working in medically underserved/culturally diverse communities
- Bilingual Spanish and English
