Job Summary
Prioritize and schedule cardiac and vascular exams, coordinating with medical staff and patients. Perform ultrasound exams consistent with department protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Educate patients and families on procedures, transport patients, and return them to rooms while monitoring stability. Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique. Document exam results, apply charge codes, and maintain equipment and work areas. Support quality improvement processes and participate in educational opportunities to maintain clinical competence.
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Must demonstrate technical competence for performance protocols specific to the department

- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
- 1+ year of experience
