Job Summary
Registered Echo-Vascular Sonographer role performing comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations across multiple clinical locations in accordance with departmental policies and IAC accreditation standards. May include Cerebrovascular, Visceral, Lower Extremity, and Physiologic studies, plus specialized procedures such as Lower Extremity Reflux exams. Reports to the Chief Cardiac Sonographer and collaborates with Staff Sonographers (Level II/III), Medical Staff, and Investigators to ensure examinations meet established policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements. Involves involvement in quality improvement initiatives, accreditation support, clinical staff training, cross-training of Echo Lab Sonographers, and workflow coordination. Requires B.S. in Diagnostic Ultrasound or CAAHEP-accredited program with 3-5 years of experience, RDCS or RCS, and RVT or RVS credentials. Salary range $48.40–$79.92/hour, commensurate with experience, with annualized compensation potential.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Diagnostic Ultrasound or graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program
- 3-5 years of experience as a registered echo-vascular sonographer
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI is required
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) by CCI is required
- CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic ultrasound program completion or equivalent clinical experience
- Successful completion of a hospital/clinic-based clinical scanning experience
- Prefer at least one year of Echo/Vascular role experience
