Job Summary

Perform diagnostic cardiology and/or vascular sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and intervention under supervision. Position patients, operate equipment, and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images while assessing diagnostic images for technical quality and proper annotation. Administer medical aid for emergencies, maintain accurate documentation of clinical histories and physician orders, and ensure patient safety through standard precautions. Collaborate with cardiologists to perform exams, function independently in the absence of supervisors, and participate in quality control tasks. Assist in transporting patients and supervise student sonographers while directing daily workflow. This role requires current RDMS, RDCS, RCS, or RVT certification and BLS/HealthCare Provider certification, with travel to Land O' Lakes and Wesley Chapel.

Required Qualifications

  • Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in fetal echocardiography
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Must maintain one of the following certifications
