Job Summary
The Echo Technologist performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures (echocardiography) including 2-D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler, with emphasis on patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging for physician interpretation. Responsibilities include acquiring quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images, assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), preparing and maintaining equipment, documenting results in the EMR, verifying patient identity and orders, collaborating with healthcare teams, and adapting imaging techniques to patient age and needs. Requires 1-3 years of echocardiography experience and RDMS or equivalent credentialing; BCLS within 7 days of employment; RDCS or RCS preferred. Full-time day-shift role with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography
- RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or graduate of an accredited program
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within first 7 days of employment
- RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer preferred
- RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer preferred
