Job Summary
Perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures, administering contrast when needed and not contraindicated. Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment while reviewing patient data for accuracy. Complete documentation of studies performed and charges in Epic, plus preliminary info in Xcelera for physician reading. Execute all forms of Echo testing including Exercise Stress, Dobutamine stress, Pediatric echoes, and Tranesophageal echoes in a timely fashion. Cross-train to other divisions of CV Services and participate in a rotation of call through the week and on weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Sonography
- Certificate of Completion in a Related Field
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from American Heart Association (AHA)
- 1+ years of previous healthcare work experience
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow
- Positive attitude and proven willingness to assess and improve work environment
- Must be included in a rotation of call through the week and on weekends with other Team members
