Job Summary
Perform ultrasound examinations to obtain cardiovascular diagnostic information under supervision, localize differences between healthy and pathological areas, judge image quality for diagnostic purposes, record/edit results, maintain logs, and prepare patients. Responsibilities include 3-D capture and analysis of Aortic and Mitral Valves, advanced quantification of valve parameters, calculating hemodynamic metrics and left ventricular dimensions, and assisting physicians with patient care. Note the role requires RDCS/RCS certification and a combination of high school/associates-level education with hands-on ultrasound training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Two years of college or graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- 0-2 years of experience in Diagnostic Ultrasound, including clinical rotations
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) required
