Job Summary
Perform specialized cardiovascular care by evaluating patient response to diagnostic cardiac procedures and maintaining diagnostic and therapeutic equipment per manufacturer specifications. Conduct baseline patient assessments while ensuring maximum patient safety and comfort. Maintain current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) and hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Requires an associate degree in health science or cardiac ultrasound program, one year of cardiac ultrasound experience preferred, and a high school diploma. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Basic Life Support American Heart Association
- Currently registered as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or via CCI as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- One year of experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree Preferred Graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing)
- Graduate of a programmatically accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
