Job Summary
The Echocardiography Technologist performs echocardiographic procedures under a Cardiologist with independent judgment and initiative, using non-ionizing high-frequency ultrasonic waves for cardiographic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent. Participates in clinical activities within imaging areas (Echocardiography, Surgery, Mobile Unit, Nursing Units), adheres to Echocardiography principles (technical factors, equipment function, transducer selection, patient care, safety, documentation) and delivers efficient, high-quality, patient-oriented services. Requires formal Echocardiography training and certification within 1 year of hire (ARDMS or CCI) and BLS on hire. Preferred 6 months of experience. Providence St. Patrick Hospital location in Missoula, MT.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training program or equivalent in Echocardiography
- National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 1 year of hire
- National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International within 1 year of hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
